The following Administrative Order was recently issued by the Supreme Court of Florida to extend time periods in Broward County due to the recent flooding event and Courthouse closure on November 16, 2023.

On August 1, 2023, the Broward County Clerk of Courts became aware of a potential information security issue, which may have allowed certain non-public records on our public website to be accessed without authorization. Upon discovery, we began an internal review and implemented additional security measures.

The Broward County Clerk of Courts has taken the necessary steps to address this issue and is committed to maintaining all information with the utmost care and security. The privacy and protection of information remains a top priority of this office.

Out of an abundance of caution, we engaged a team of information security experts to investigate the matter thoroughly. The investigation remains ongoing and there is no evidence to suggest that any information has been or will be misused. We appreciate the public’s patience as we continue this process.
