• Background Checks:  This website is not intended for and should not be used to perform Background checks. Official statewide background checks are available from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Local background checks are available from the Broward Sheriff's Office for BSO's jurisdictions located within Broward County and other local background checks are available from the appropriate municipality or county.

• Electronic Records:  Pursuant to the revisions contained in Supreme Court Administrative Order AOSC07-49, electronic access to Broward County court records will be modified. This revised administrative order supersedes the Interim Policy on Electronic Release of Court Records contained in AOSC06-21. As a result, Felony, Misdemeanor and Traffic Criminal electronic download files and reports have been modified and no longer contain the defendant's address, driver's license number or vehicle tag number.

• Password Policy:  The Clerk’s office recognizes the standards recommended by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council and is implementing improvements to protect the security of our customers. On 9/17/2007, we implemented a new Password Policy for Online Services Accounts. The password policy requires the creation of strong passwords, as well as a 90 day password expiration and password retirement policy.
