Online Payment Information

What credit cards does the clerk accept?

The Clerk of Courts Office currently accepts Visa and MasterCard for Online transactions.

What if I am not the cardholder?

You must be an authorized user of the credit card in question to make an online purchase on the Broward County Clerk of Courts Website.

Will I receive a confirmation of my transaction?

Upon the successful completion of your transaction, you will be provided with a list of items purchased, as well as a Confirmation Number should you need to contact the Clerk of Courts Office in the future.

After pressing "Confirm Purchase" I got a message that says my Credit/Debit Card was declined. I know my card is good, what is going on?

The Clerk of Courts Office uses a Verification Service to approve all Online Credit/Debit Card Transactions. This Service uses the billing address for confirmation. If the billing address you entered on the registration form does not match the address on file with the Credit Card Issuer, the transaction is denied. If this happens, secure a recent copy of the Credit Card Billing Statement and enter the address exactly as it appears on that statement. Should you continue to have problems, contact the Public Access Helpdesk at 954-831-5588.
