Welcome to the Broward County Clerk of Courts “Commercial Data Access” Service! This is the place if you are looking for programmatic access to court records.

This web application programming interface (API) is for high volume customers who want to automate their access to court records filed in the 17th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

The API is much like a web site with URLs for searching and requesting information. The difference is in the format of the data; API’s use structured formats that are easy for developers to work with. In short, it defines a way in which a computer program communicates with another computer program.

If you are non-developer and have ideas on how you could use the API, you can always work with a developer to bring your vision to life.

Purchase of Units Required!

This service will require you to purchase Units in order to use the API. To better understand the cost you will incur, please refer to the documents  Cost of Purchasing Units and  Determining Cost of API Calls.

Subscribe Now


A. Click on the Subscribe Now button on the About Commercial Data Access (API) Service page. If you are not logged in, you will be asked to log in or register for a new account if you do not already have one. Read and accept the terms and conditions and click Continue. Enter your information in the requested fields and click the button to print and save your registration agreement. Read and complete the form and have it notarized by a licensed notary public. Scan the Registration Agreement using an optical scanner and save it to a file in a folder on your computer. Attached the scanned agreement to an email and send it to PublicAccessHelpDesk@browardclerk.org. Once we receive and process your request, you will be notified via email.

How to Register? Click on the My Account link in the upper right corner of the web page, then click on the Register Now button and complete the registration form. Read and accept the Terms and Conditions and click Register. An email will be sent to the address you provided during the registration process, which contains a link to complete your registration. After clicking the link in the email you are ready to log in and subscribe to the service.

Note: If you do not receive the email, look in your span and junk email folders. If you have a spam filter activated, remove the email address noreply@browardclerk.org.

A. A Commercial Data Access (API) Service User is one who has entered into a subscription agreement to use and manage the service.

A. As a User, you agree to certain responsibilities, including "ensuring that only you, The User, have knowledge of the assigned login ID and password. You are also responsible for managing this service and any costs that are incurred. Please read the Registration agreement carefully when subscribing to this service.
